Oita has been the earliest sister city of Wuhan since 1979. Both cities have sent friendly visiting government delegations make 11 times of mutual visit．In 1984， Wuhan held Commodity Exhibition in Oita; in 1998 when Wuhan suffered a grave flood， Oita donated 4，350，000 Yen to Wuhan．Oita organized economic and trade delegations to attend the Third and Fourth Economical and Trade Fairs and the Third Wuhan Exposition of Mechanical and Electrical Products．Both Parties have carried out wide exchange and cooperation in culture and arts， education and sports， agriculture and medical treatment， and public health， etc． |
