Jiugong Mountain Ruiqing Palace

 

    Jiugong Mountain Ruiqing Palace inauguration ceremony was held on June 12, 2005. Over 10, 000 tourists and Taoists attended the ceremony.

 

    Located in the middle of the Mofu Mountain Range, which runs across Xianning City of Hubei Province, Jiugong Mountain is a national level scenic spot with historic relics. There is one of the tallest waterfalls in the country which drops 420 meters.

 

    Jiugong Mountain is one of the places where Taoism originated so it is also famous for its religion tourism.

 

    Ruiqing Palace, a Taoist temple in the mountain, started restoration in October 2002.

 

    Taoism Wushu and music performances were also held in the ceremony.
