Study in Wuhan

I reached Wuhan, the city I had dreamed of, on a hot September morning by train from Peking.

The city strikes me with its wide expanse of skyscrapers, all of which appear to be struggling for the tallest building honors。 They are not only well designed but also enchantingly beautiful. The passers-by on the busy streets, avenues and alleys are in a hurry. Bicycles, vehicles, and motorbikes of diversified colors and models are numerous in the streets. The streets are clean。 When I arrived at the university, I was at tracted by a wide lake, which I learnt later it was the famous East Lake.

As a Chinese saying “The beginning was always hard to deal with”. Initially, I could neither read nor write even a Chinese word, which obliges our teachers to teach us very patiently and carefully; and thanks God, they treated us that way-full of patience, care and love. Now there is someone who thinks that I have been in China for three years at least, proving that my Chinese has been improved.

My teachers are very skilled and experienced.  They integrate a lot of outdoors activities with the learning courses, making us contact Chinese students more widely and giving us the chances to study Chinese better and more quickly.  They help us to set up friendclass relations with Chinese students, to organze Chinese Corner to develop various actlvities, and to visit scenic spots and historic remains.

I remember my first visit to the East Lake on October 1st, the forty-ninth anniversary of the People's Republic of China. All in the park were splendid and perfect, my memory of the day had never descended down.  We visited the Yellow Crane Tower too. It well reserves many famous poems of different dynasties, and it is the most wonderful  tower to my impression by combining sculptures, poems and art works perfectly. And I was eager to know the situation of those“Yellow Cranes” resting here after having so long distance journey!

We later visited Ezhou-a city famous for its many lakes, Coca-Cola Company, Wuhan Petro-Chemical Plant, and a dairy factory. I gained so much valuable knowledge through these visits.

Wuhan is a city flourishing in economy and education. It is really an ideal place for foreigners to study in.
