Wuhan is located on the central place of China. With Changjiang River passing through， the city is a golden way on transportation. With luxuriant resources，rich land and adding up to industrious and kind people，the city is always reminds us to the saying “The talents are born in the Chu land” and “the land is the source of the affla-tus and the people here are wise”.
I had an impression of being at home soon after I arrived in Wuhan. In 1987， the Education Commission of China arranged for me to study my under-graduated courses in Wuhan. I was deeply attracted by the environment of Hubei Medicine University at once. It was rather joyful to study and to live in an elegant，comfortable and quiet environment.
During our busy studying course， the teachers of Foreigner's Student Office arranged us visiting many tourist places such as the Yellow Crane，Guiyuan Temple， the Zoo and Citroen Company. The visit made us know more about Wuhan， widened our sights and tourist places such as the Yellow Crane Tower， Guiyuan Temple，the Zoo and Citroen Company. The visit made us know more about Wuhan，widened our sights and relaxed us. The metropolis of Wuhan in my impression is vigorous.
What affected us mostly are the professors of the University and the affiliated hospitals， who emphasized on our education and training. I remember my surgery tutor of clinical practice--Professor Shi Hai'an once said， “I'm very strict with you， because when you return to your homeland and begin your medical career，you will represent the medicine education level in China.”
After the reformation and opening outsides， China has changed greatly. I can feel the revitalization of China strongly from the flourishing of the nation's economy and living levels of the people.
As to Wuhan， I didn't see so many high buildings. Expressways， supermarkets or shopping malls as today when I arrived in Wuhan in 1987. And in Hubei Medicine University， the beautiful and high-story buildings for education and the wide， bright students' apartments have been built up in a short time. The number of students is increasing every year. For example， there were only 7 foreign students in 1987， while there are more than 80 today.
Wuhan is changing every day， while Wuhanese are friendly and zeal to foreigners as ever， warm as the summer in Wuhan. Not only did I finish my studying in Wuhan. I also fell into love with a Chinese girl. She is a local girl. We married in 1992 and have been living happily since then. It's one of the reasons I love Wuhan much more.
After I got a bachelor degree in 1992， I went back home and have worked in Gabon for five years until I came back in Hubei Medicine University in September in 1997， for the Master courses. With the fine medical technique I got from Hubei Medicine University and the devotion of working attitude like Wuhanese， I served for my homeland people。 And I was praised by my Health Department and Gabonese people.
Fortunately， I got the chance to return to Wuhan and go on to study in my mother-university. Except for more knowledge on my major， I have learnt more about Wuhan humane， history and customs. Wuhan gives me a lot. I love Wuhan and Hubei Medical University deeply， because all the things here give me unforgotten memory. |
